KTM 950 / 990 Regulator/Rectifier Relocation Kit

The OEM position of the regulator/rectifier on KTM LC8 models exposes it to conditions that negatively affect its reliability — with different weaknesses depending on the model.

On the KTM 950 Super Enduro, the unit is mounted close to the rear cylinder and exhaust header, resulting in high thermal load and increased risk of premature failure.

On KTM 950 / 990 Adventure models, the regulator is positioned low on the bike, making it vulnerable to water, mud, and debris, which can lead to corrosion and reduced cooling efficiency.

Additionally, the OEM electrical connector is not well protected or insulated, and is known to overheat or burn over time — another common failure point in the charging system.

This relocation kit addresses these issues by repositioning the regulator/rectifier to a more protected area with improved airflow.
